Anastasia Potemkina

Anastasia Potemkina (b. 1984, Moscow) is an artist and a founding member of the group Urban Fauna Lab. Potemkina uses a variety of different media—painting, video, performance and installation—to explore new approaches to the relationship between humans and nature. Her solo exhibitions have been held at MMOMA, Peresvetov Pereulok Gallery, Triumph Gallery (Moscow), Anna Nova Gallery (St. Petersburg), Laura Bulian Gallery (Milan), Pavilion (Zurich). As part of UFL she exhibited at Contemporary Art Center Winzavod, GULAG History State Museum, All-Russian Exhibition Centre / VDNKh (Moscow). Potemkina participated in the 1st Triennial of Russian Contemporary Art (Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, Moscow, 2017), the 7th Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art (MMOMA, Moscow, 2017), collateral project of the14th Architecture Biennale (Venice, 2014), among others.

In 2020, Potemkina received the Innovation award in the Artist of the Year nomination.
